Costers and old vineyards

"In our vineyard we practice agriculture based on a careful cultivation of grapes and soil.

The origin of our wines is in the old vineyards, some of them pre-phylloxera , and in the traditional cultivation without chemicals, in an artisanal and family way. Six plots of extreme slopes, located in La Vilella Alta, La Vilella Baixa and Torroja, where we grow the typical varieties of the area: Grenache, Carignan, Trepat Blanc, Macabeo, Merlot and Cavernet Sauvignon. The Priorat Qualified Designation of Origin is a small mountainous region located in the heart of the Tarragona region. The massif of the Sierra de Montsant delimits it to the north, to the west is the Sierra de la Figuera, to the east the ridge of the Molló and, to the south, the territory opens following the course of the river Siurana.

The Priorat is characterized by its fidelity to the terroir, a land integrated in a landscape of great beauty that has remained unchanged over the centuries, marked by the presence of slate soil and where to this day the essence and identity of peoples in harmony with the environment and crops. That is why it can be said that natural landscape, human landscape and wine are indissoluble in the Priorat. A wine that speaks with its own voice, a unique voice, that of its terroir. A wine that becomes the voice of the slate, its purest expression.
